Make browsing more comfortable by getting rid of ads
Adblock Plus is a Firefox add-on that allows you to block ads that appear on web pages.
As it’s for Firefox, Adblock Plus is a small, discreet program that sits in the top right corner of your navigation bar. Clicking on the red icon will bring up a list of blockable items on the page, while a drop-down list reveals more features and configuration options.
In order for Adblock Plus to work correctly, you will need to pick an Adblock filter. There are extensive instructions for picking the right one on the program's website, so don’t worry too much about it. If you’d prefer not to sign up to a list, you can choose the ads to block yourself.
Adblock Plus works by identifying the advertising on a web page and completely preventing it from appearing. There is a risk that Adblock Plus could accidentally block something that isn’t actually advertising, although in our tests this didn't happen.
Even if Adblock Plus does block a legitimate object, the website provides information about what to do - in fact, it provides information on just about every aspect of the program.
Viewing the internet with no ads is a very strange experience - you might even find yourself thinking that some of your favorite pages are looking a little empty!
Fancy ad-free browsing? Then Adblock Plus is definitely for you.

The options menu will surprise you.
Has tons of customization options that go beyond disabling just ads. For example it cleans up youtube to just be the video and not all the rest of the stuff some people find annoying like suggested videos/channels. I personally like such features even cancerous chat, I'ma bring popcorn. But this is why I like it is because this option isn't enabled by default and if u go into the options you'll realize this program is far more capable than you thought. More

Greatest Adblocker Available.
Adblock Plus is a must have add-on for any Firefox user who doesn't want to be bombarded by ads. It blocks even those annoying side ads a lot of sites seem to be going to. No other freeware adblocker can even compete with it. On top of this the newer versions of Adblock Plus making adding filter subscriptions even easier with their drop down menu. I myself recommend using easy list with fanboy's list for maximum adblocking power. The downside to using Adblock Plus is it can slow down browsing a bit and some videos or sites won't work right if you have Adblock Plus turned on. But to me these are minor annoyances for such a powerful free adblocker.
Pros:
Free
Blocks ads other adblockers can't
Simple To Add New Filter Subscriptions
Cons:
Can Slow Down Surfing
Doesn't Block All Ads
Some Videos And Sites Won't Work Right More
